Affiliate Disclosure

This page explains how affiliate relationships work on Styled Home Notes, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) endorsement and disclosure guidelines.

What “affiliate link” means here

Some articles on Styled Home Notes contain affiliate links to products, retailers, design tools, or services. When you click an affiliate link and make a qualifying purchase, Styled Home Notes may earn a small commission. There is no extra cost to you — the price you pay is the same as it would be without our link.

These commissions help keep the site running, pay for image generation and design tools, and let us spend more time on original guides rather than chasing every short-term content trend.

Current status

As of the time of writing, Styled Home Notes is not enrolled in any affiliate program. No articles currently published on this site contain affiliate or commission-based links. This page exists ahead of time, so the disclosure is in place before any commercial relationships begin.

If that changes, this page will be updated to list the active programs, and any article containing affiliate links will indicate so clearly.

Programs we may join in the future

When affiliate relationships are added, they’re likely to fall into a few standard categories:

  • General retailer programs — for example, Amazon Associates, when we link to products on a retailer.
  • Home and decor retailer programs — direct affiliate programs from home retailers, or networks such as ShareASale, Awin, Impact, or CJ Affiliate that aggregate them.
  • Design and lifestyle creator networks — for example, LTK / RewardStyle, where relevant.
  • Direct brand partnerships — only when the brand and product are a real fit for the topic.

If we add any of these, this disclosure will be updated with the current list before the first affiliate link goes live.

How affiliate relationships affect what we write

They don’t change our editorial standards. Whether a product is included in an article is decided based on whether it fits the topic, whether it’s reasonably priced, and whether a typical reader could realistically use it. We don’t write a guide *because* a product pays well, and we don’t quietly upgrade a recommendation because of commission rates.

If a piece is sponsored, gifted, or otherwise paid for by a brand (not just affiliate-linked), that relationship will be disclosed clearly at the top of the article — not buried at the bottom — so you can read with full context.

Cookies and tracking

When you click an affiliate link, the destination retailer may place a cookie on your device to track whether you complete a purchase. This is how the commission system works and is standard across affiliate programs. We don’t see your personal purchase details — we only see aggregate commission reports.

For details on what we collect directly on this site (including analytics cookies), see our Privacy Policy.

A reasonable reminder

You should always make purchasing decisions based on your own needs, budget, measurements, safety requirements, and product research. A product that works for one room or one family may not be the right fit for yours.
